Secondary Science Coordinator

Job Summary:
The Secondary Science Coordinator is a key leadership role responsible for providing strategic direction and support to the development and implementation of the science curriculum program for the school division. This position involves collaborating with teachers, staff, and administrators to ensure effective implementation of the instructional program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement division-wide initiatives in STEM education and programs
- Design and update instructional materials for 6th-12th grade science education
- Provide guidance on selecting textbooks and instructional materials for science education
- Collaborate with administrators and staff on program budget and resources
- Facilitate collaborative meetings and professional learning opportunities for teachers and staff
- Support teacher and staff development in science education
- Ensure horizontal and vertical continuity in the instructional program
- Stay updated on current research and educational practices in science education
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in education administration or a related field
- 5 years of teaching experience in science education
- Certification in Administration and Supervision PreK-12
- Preferred Master's Degree or endorsement in science education

- Strong knowledge of curriculum design, instructional strategies, and assessment techniques
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
