Collaborate across the Finance division to ensure the accuracy of financial data and uphold robust controls and procedures.

Provide reporting and analytical support for various stakeholders, including the Board of Directors, Investor Relations, and different regulatory bodies.

This role requires an experienced financial professional who applies extensive knowledge within their discipline and a comprehensive understanding of business concepts to deliver relevant financial analysis and reporting. Responsibilities include compiling, reviewing, analyzing, and submitting timely and precise monthly reports concerning the organization's financial performance or strategy.

Tasks may encompass: income/expense or cash flow forecasts; regulatory interpretations; variance analysis and explanations for financial statement line items; or summaries, charts, and graphs of data to emphasize key outcomes.

Ensure that source data is reliable and complete, maintaining documentation to support data integrity initiatives. Interpret and summarize results and trends for Senior Leadership.

Utilize knowledge of best practices from experience to address problems of greater operational or technical complexity by analyzing potential solutions through data analysis, experience, judgment, and precedents.

Adopt a fresh perspective on existing solutions to propose innovative approaches. Prepare and review materials for senior leadership that summarize issues and communicate solutions.

Oversee monthly financial close, forecasting, and annual financial planning processes for accuracy and reasonableness, including entries for month-end close, forecast updates, and Plan development.

Enhance and automate the retrieval of financial information using simple spreadsheets to more complex databases and reporting templates.

Develop and conduct testing of economic models as required.

Maintain essential documentation of source data, ensuring adequate support for data integrity. Serve as a subject matter expert on regulatory reporting requirements, business cycles, origination channels, and accounting flow for the assigned area of responsibility.

Maintain a solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), building expertise related to the assigned area of responsibility.

Deepen knowledge of more complex accounting, profitability, regulatory, and business segment nuances, including cost allocation methodology, funds transfer pricing, and vendor contracts.

Foster a strong working relationship with the supported business area to complete tasks and deliver high-quality work.

Maintain relationships with cross-functional departments to broaden knowledge and resolve more complex situations.

Coordinate with internal and external audits and examinations (responses to external and regulatory requests are to be made in collaboration with Accounting Policy).

Assist in risk management governance and business continuity planning processes as necessary.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent education and related training.
  • Five years of relevant accounting or finance experience that includes complex financial analysis.
  • Ability to take direction and then work independently to complete tasks while considering broader implications or necessary additional analysis.
  • Ability to build consensus through communication and presentation of factual and relevant information.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Sound and logical decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work well with others in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and other basic software products.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, or Chartered Financial Analyst.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration with specific financial services or specialized industry experience.
  • Proficient in Essbase/Hyperion, EPM/BPC, or other enterprise accounting software.
  • Experience with macros/VBA.
