Originating in Los Angeles, California, our fleet of electric scooters is now available globally, catering to short-distance travel and the final leg of journeys. The Field Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in simplifying urban navigation. This team collaborates with technology to oversee, redistribute, and maintain our vehicles in the field, ensuring that safe and accessible rides are always within reach. This dynamic position encompasses a variety of tasks and responsibilities that adapt to the evolving needs of each city we serve. The role is vital for the growth and upkeep of our fleet, directly influencing millions of users who depend on our services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize your personal vehicle as the primary means of transportation for job-related tasks, including addressing scooter violations in designated areas.
  • Maintain precise records of mileage and trip details for expense reimbursement.
  • Comply with company policies, local traffic regulations, and any relevant laws while operating a vehicle for work purposes.
  • Ensure your vehicle is well-maintained, adhering to safety standards and regular maintenance schedules.
  • Collaborate with local operational teams to ensure optimal vehicle distribution throughout the city.
  • Conduct patrols in service areas to inspect and identify vehicles requiring repair and maintenance.
  • Leverage technology and software to document fleet activities and data to enhance fleet performance.
  • Operate e-trikes or e-scooters for fleet monitoring and movement.
  • Collect and redistribute vehicles from high-traffic locations.
  • Relocate improperly parked vehicles to designated parking zones.
  • Perform minor field repairs and diagnostics to support fleet maintenance.
  • Work collaboratively with team members while also being capable of independent work.

Qualifications:

  • Genuine enthusiasm for Bird and the ability to thrive in a rapidly evolving environment.
  • Proficient in using a smartphone and comfortable with technology.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and the ability to pass a motor vehicle record check is preferred.
  • Reliable Vehicle: Must own and maintain a dependable and insured personal vehicle suitable for work-related tasks.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Flexible availability with a willingness to work weekends regularly.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Compensation Information:
Bird offers competitive compensation and benefits packages. The expected salary range for this role is provided below, but actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, knowledge, skill level, and location. Additionally, some roles may be eligible for bonuses, variable pay, and equity, along with paid time off, health benefits, and retirement plans in accordance with company policies.

Salary Range: $19—$19.50 USD
