Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to lead our Anesthesia and Perioperative Medicine department at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and exceptional patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve patient outcomes, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Lead and manage a team of anesthesia and perioperative medicine professionals to ensure seamless delivery of patient care.
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership, physicians, and other stakeholders to develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards that promote quality, safety, and patient satisfaction.
  • Develop and manage budgets, resources, and personnel to ensure effective use of resources and optimal patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and excellence in patient care.
Requirements
  • MD or DO degree with Board certification in Anesthesiology.
  • 7 years of successful clinical practice as an anesthesiologist, including 5 years in a leadership/management capacity.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Knowledge of anesthesia and perioperative medicine principles, practices, and regulatory requirements.
