Job Title: Desktop Support Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Technician to join our team. As a Desktop Support Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our users, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our desktop environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to application software, networking, and operating systems.
  • Provide support to users at our Tech Hub.
  • Prioritize and manage desktop tickets using a cloud-based tracking tool.
  • Configure, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot computer workstations, laptops, and other equipment.
  • Research, install, and troubleshoot hardware and software components.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide direct user support.
  • Install, configure, analyze, resolve, and repair Windows and other operating systems.
  • Ensure adherence to desktop environment standards and procedures.
  • Document procedures, standards, and best practices.
  • Configure laptops and desktops for network connectivity.
  • Maintain password security, data integrity, and file system security.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, peers, and management.

Qualifications:

  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Customer Service: Experience providing exceptional customer service.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and precision in high-pressure situations.
  • Critical Thinking: Ability to identify and resolve technical issues effectively.
  • Active Directory: Experience with Active Directory.
  • Desktop Support: 3+ years of experience in a desktop support role resolving technical hardware issues.
  • Office 365: Broad knowledge of Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, Zoom, OneDrive, Forms, Stream, Tasks, Video, OneNote).
  • Education: Associate degree or equivalent plus 3-4 years of experience.
  • Certifications: Relevant technical certifications (A+, MCP, HDI) are preferred.
