In this role, you will be entrusted with the planning and execution of projects that are of moderate complexity or segments of larger, multifaceted initiatives. Your supervisor will define the objectives, requirements, and design methodologies; your completed work will be evaluated for technical accuracy and compliance with the specified requirements. You will receive technical support and guidance from your supervisor and relevant subject matter experts. Additionally, you may be responsible for scheduling and overseeing the work of junior technicians, as well as providing training and mentorship to them. Your responsibilities will be diverse and engaging.

Key Responsibilities:
- Execute advanced welding tasks in maintenance and repair environments for components and structures of mobile industrial machinery.

- Design, fabricate, assemble, install, and repair metal components essential for the refurbishment and modification of both mobile and stationary equipment.

- Alter metal components as necessary.

- Install items as specified in various Maintenance Work Order Requests (MWORs), including cabs, cowls, aprons, doors, bodies, hoods, and various metal containers and frameworks.

- Provide coordination, on-the-job support, and limited technical guidance to colleagues engaged in similar tasks.

- Organize and prioritize work based on authorized work orders while ensuring quality assurance and control throughout the process and upon completion.

- Conduct routine and complex troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues. Respond to emergencies as required, utilizing your skills and knowledge. Complete all other related duties as assigned or requested.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and

Mental Demands:

You will work in a typical shop environment with minimal hazards, frequently lifting weights between 20-50 pounds, and engaging in activities such as kneeling, standing, walking, and sitting. Effective communication will require constant use of speech and hearing abilities, alongside maintaining mental alertness. Strong planning and organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to work under time constraints.

Minimum Qualifications:

- A high school diploma or GED is required, along with specialized training and comprehensive knowledge in facility maintenance. A broad understanding of related disciplines, such as general mathematics, is also necessary.

- Candidates should possess a minimum of five (5) years of documented, verifiable experience in the metal mechanic field.
- This position may require a pre-employment assessment of structural welding skills based on customer specifications, drawings, and materials utilized.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with a basic understanding of computer systems and software, are essential.

- A valid and current state driver's license is mandatory.
- Familiarity with Technical Manuals is required.
- Candidates must be able to complete documentation related to vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and hydraulic equipment is necessary.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and a government background check is required.
- Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain necessary facility credentials/authorization.

Note:
- US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization.

- Candidates must successfully pass a National Agency Check (NAC) within 60 days of hire if required and possess a valid driver's license.

- Availability for any shift is essential, including weekends and additional hours as needed.
- Proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English is required.
