This role operates in a hybrid model (minimum three days per week on-site) at one of our designated offices.
We are currently in search of an Assistant Vice President of Marketing and Producer Management who will be pivotal in driving growth across our business units and strategic partnerships. This role is integral to shaping the marketing and distribution strategies of the units, involving the design, planning, execution, and assessment of success. The position entails regular interaction with Argo's distribution partners, managing relationships that encompass new appointments, progress updates, performance oversight, and terminations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with business unit leadership to formulate strategic plans and implement marketing initiatives that strengthen ties with distribution partners.
- Actively gather client feedback and competitive insights to refine the business units' value propositions and identify growth opportunities.
- Encourage a sales-oriented culture within the business unit.
- Oversee the new appointment process, facilitate producer onboarding, manage ongoing performance reporting, and handle terminations as necessary.
- Work in tandem with the business unit and marketing teams on campaign development and management, including educational and incentive events, advertising, collateral creation, and digital strategy.
- Partner with business unit leaders to strategize and execute major conference initiatives, including scheduling, materials preparation, marketing communications, and follow-up actions.
- Monitor, evaluate, and enhance marketing return on investment (ROI).
- Develop and implement strategies for client engagement, sales enablement, profitability insights, and key distribution partner strategies that bolster business unit growth.
- Engage with distribution partners and actively nurture these relationships.
- Analyze monthly producer data reports to identify trends, opportunities, and concerns, initiating proactive measures to support Argo Group and its distribution partners.
- Assess customer research, market dynamics, and competitor data while collaborating with underwriting departments to advance a sales-focused and client-centric approach to producer management.
- Seek innovative ways to incentivize distribution partners to deepen their engagement with Argo.
Core Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (required) or Master's degree (preferred) in Marketing, Business, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the insurance sector is required.
- At least 7 years of experience in a marketing or communications role is essential.
- Exceptional communication and influencing abilities.
- Strong analytical skills, with the capacity to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
- Strategic and innovative thinking capabilities.
- Experience working within a matrixed environment, fostering collaboration and effective communication across various organizational levels.
Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel up to approximately 25%.
The compensation package is competitive and commensurate with experience. In addition to the base salary, all employees are eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
