Cleaning and Maintenance Technician

About the Role:

The Facility Housekeeper will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of U-Haul facilities. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who is able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide thorough cleaning and maintenance of storage units, hallways, restrooms, and other areas of the facility.
  • Dispose of trash and recyclables in a responsible manner.
  • Maintain and track cleaning supply inventory, requesting supplies as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated and proactive approach to work.

Work Environment:

The work environment for this position involves moderate risks or discomforts, requiring special safety precautions. The ability to wear protective clothing and gear, such as masks, goggles, and gloves, is necessary.

Physical Demands:

The work requires physical exertion, including long periods of standing, moving around, and lifting equipment weighing a minimum of 50lbs. U-Haul is committed to creating a culture of health and wellness, and as such, nicotine users will not be considered for this position.
