Boiler Room Maintenance Technician

Cheshire Medical Center is seeking a skilled Power Plant Tech to join our team. As a Power Plant Tech, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining boilers and auxiliary equipment to produce heat and power for the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain boilers and auxiliary equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts as needed.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operation of energy systems.
- Develop and implement procedures to improve efficiency and safety.
- High school education or equivalent required.
- Trade school certification and three years' work experience or five years' experience in boiler room operations preferred.
- Experience in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing trades required.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Boiler maintenance and repair experience.
- Experience with fire alarm systems.
- Working knowledge of basic organizational procedures and safety engineering codes.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
