Medical Laboratory Specialist

A Medical Lab Technician is responsible for performing medical laboratory tests and procedures to provide data for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in clinical chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, microscopy, and molecular testing.
Key Responsibilities- Collect, process, and analyze specimens for laboratory testing
- Perform routine laboratory testing in clinical chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, microscopy, and molecular testing
- Record findings in the electronic health record and report critical values to medical providers in a timely manner
- Review reports for accuracy and disseminate to appropriate departments
- Perform proficiency testing and maintain high standards of patient care and laboratory operations
- Associates Degree in medical technology, medical laboratory science, or human sciences
- Completed a military 50–60-week technician program and meets the minimum CLIA requirements
- Education qualifications as stated per CLIA requirements
