At TAMARACK HEALTH MEDICAL CENTER, we are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Imaging Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for performing nuclear medicine procedures at a technical level without direct supervision. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nuclear medicine and be able to monitor procedures to ensure efficiency and accuracy. Key responsibilities include writing protocols for diagnostic studies, updating policies and procedures as needed, and developing protocols for new and revised procedures. Additionally, the successful candidate will train department workers in the operation of the department and the use of equipment to ensure safety. They will also develop, implement, and supervise radiation safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with department, institutional, and state policies and regulations. The Nuclear Medicine Imaging Specialist will maintain records of established guidelines for radiation safety, including daily and weekly monitoring of the disposal of contaminated trash, syringes, and vials, as well as quality control parameters and patient doses. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact and communicate with physicians, support staff, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate departmental operations. Requirements include a high school graduate or equivalent, a graduate of an approved nuclear medicine training program, and registration or registry eligibility with NMTCB or ARRT(N). A strong understanding of radiation safety and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent
