Job Overview

Bill Cole Automall of Ashland is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Advisor to join our team. As a Service Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule service appointments and obtain customer and vehicle data prior to arrival.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, greeting customers in a timely and friendly manner, and obtaining vehicle information.
  • Write up customer vehicle problems accurately and clearly on repair orders.
  • Test drive vehicles with customers as needed to confirm problems or refer to test technicians.
  • Refer to service history, inspect vehicles, and recommend additional needed service.
  • Advise customers on the care of their vehicles and the value of maintaining them in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Provide complete and accurate written cost estimates for labor and parts.
  • Establish promised times and obtain customer signatures on repair orders.
  • Establish customer payment methods and obtain credit approval as necessary.
  • Monitor repair progress and contact customers regarding any changes in estimated or promised times.
  • Review repair orders to ensure work is complete and additional work and authorization are noted.
  • Ensure vehicles are parked in assigned areas, locked, and keys are marked and put away correctly.
  • Keep service department forms, menus, and pricing guides up-to-date.
  • Explain completed work and all charges to customers.

  • Extensive experience in customer satisfaction and educating customers on needed service.
  • Experience working with and growing service sales volume and customer satisfaction.
  • Strong motivational and leadership skills.
