Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant III to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a Medical Assistant III, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support practitioners and clinical teams in providing proactive patient management
  • Perform a variety of technical, clerical, and patient care duties to assist practitioners and other healthcare team members
  • Prepare sterile and unsterile fields and assist with minor procedures and office-based surgical procedures
  • Interact with patients, families, and other healthcare team members in a courteous and professional manner
  • Obtain and record vital signs, prevention data, medications, and other pertinent information
  • Transcribe patient-specific data into electronic systems using current practitioner-generated ICD and CPT codes
  • Assist with patient preparation and follow-up for diagnostic tests, medical procedures, and surgeries
  • Coordinate efforts with nursing supervisors, staff, and other departments to maintain standards of patient care
Requirements
  • Graduate of a post-high school medical assisting program with 200 hours of clinical externship
  • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information
