Job Description

This Curatorial Internship at the International Center of Photography provides a unique opportunity to work closely with the collections and exhibitions teams to research, develop, and implement exhibition phases. The successful candidate will gain valuable research skills, an overview of exhibition making, and museum experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough research for upcoming projects, acquisitions, and exhibitions.
  • Develop and prepare exhibitions materials, including checklists and press lists.
  • Assist in updating institutional records, such as exhibition and publication histories.
  • Contribute to the development of resources, including artist bios missing from our database.
  • Support the creation of a rights database for copyright holders in the collection.
  • Research current exhibitions on photography to inform curatorial decisions.

The annual salary for this internship is expected to be around $50,000, commensurate with industry standards and the location of the International Center of Photography.
