Key Responsibilities- Drive Culture and Safety: Set the expectation for a safe and professional work environment, and lead by example in promoting a culture of excellence.
- Lead Department Managers: Provide direction, training, and communication to department managers and supervisors to ensure they are equipped to meet business goals.
- Manage Operations: Ensure the branch's daily operations run efficiently and cost-effectively, and meet financial commitments including target EBIT dollars and gross margin percent goals.
- Manage Sales and Revenue: Work with sales managers to increase customer base, and directly handle sales management responsibilities as needed.
- Oversee Employee Performance: Ensure timely and consistent employee performance processes, and recommend employee merit increases as part of the performance management process.
- Stay Up-to-Date on Industry Knowledge: Maintain a strong working knowledge of the overall market area, including sales backlog, service and repair volume, market penetration, and staffing requirements and availability.
- Thorough Knowledge of the Elevator Industry: Proven success managing and developing talent within the workforce, and ability to interpret technical instructions and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, with a minimum of two years' experience managing on a branch departmental level.
