Purpose:

The Digital Marketing Specialist collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive digital services growth within UNFI's independent retailer base. This role is responsible for digital services sales and implementation, as well as the development of tactics and promotions for the UNFI Digital Ad Network.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for digital programs and services, including loyalty, digital circular, e-commerce, and program tracking.
  • Assist the Digital Marketing Manager with vendor relationship management and provide updates to the Retail Marketing team.
  • Support digital program onboarding progress and track monthly new digital business and retailer participation.
  • Oversee the implementation of new digital services marketing launches and work closely with UNFI Professional Services Marketing to market and train for sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Retail Marketing team to achieve department sales targets and budgeted revenue and retained income.
  • Support the UNFI Media Network (UMN) program, including retailer onboarding, communications, content management, and more.
Requirements:
  • BS in Marketing or related field.
  • 2 years of related experience in digital marketing, with a preference for grocery marketing experience.
  • Experience in customer service and sales.
  • Knowledge of digital media, including e-commerce, loyalty, digital coupons, and web.
  • Proficient in Excel and project management.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Flexible and adaptable to learning new technologies.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent human relations and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional presentation and sales skills.
Physical Environment/Demands:

This role may require some travel and involves working in a temperature-controlled office environment.
