Job Title: Field Service Engineer - Dynamic Positioning Hardware

Join Kongsberg Maritime, a technology pioneer, and be part of our journey to create a more sustainable future for our oceans. We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer - Dynamic Positioning Hardware to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support and commission new systems for our Dynamic Positioning Systems.
  • Service and support all types of DP installations, with a primary focus on the hardware aspect of our systems.
  • Carry out service and support for our equipment and customers.
  • Identify and report incidents, improvements, and needs to Operations Manager.
  • Prioritize and complete work tasks for assigned service trips or projects.
  • Technical support on Dynamic Positioning Systems, Kongsberg Reference Systems, other Vendor Reference Systems, and various Navigation Systems.
  • General support activities and technical assistance, including on-site and remote support.
  • Up to 50% travel for service trips to vessels, shipyards, and other customer sites.
  • Commissioning work on new builds and upgrades to existing installations.
  • Technical assistance to Sales & Marketing and Aftersales.
  • Follow up with appropriate technical departments after service jobs.
  • Develop qualifications by participating in internal/external courses and education.
  • Maintain certifications through yearly online certification tests.
  • Report problems and suggest improvements using KM Quality Tools as QC Responsible.
Requirements:
  • Functional/Technical - Knowledge and abilities to perform work with quality results.
  • Associate degree in technical discipline or work equivalent.
  • Authorized to work lawfully in the US without company sponsorship.
  • Ability to handle simultaneous activities and work in a hectic environment.
