Job Title: Field Engineer

Job Summary:

The Field Engineer is a critical member of our construction team, responsible for ensuring that all construction layout, survey data collection, and control installation are completed accurately and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy construction principles, including demolition, earthwork, utilities, and concrete paving.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform construction layout duties to ensure accurate and precise work.
  • Collect and analyze survey data to inform project decisions.
  • Install control systems and perform quality control checks to ensure compliance with project documents.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify and resolve conflicts and issues.
  • Proactively plan and coordinate work items to ensure timely completion.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of personnel on the jobsite and at the home office.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of field engineering experience in heavy construction.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of heavy construction principles, including demolition, earthwork, utilities, and concrete paving.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and other construction-related documentation.
  • Proficiency in AutoCad, Carlson, and other similar software programs.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Work Environment:

The Field Engineer will work in a fast-paced construction environment, frequently exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and extreme weather conditions. The noise level can be loud, and the employee must be able to lift and move items over 75 pounds.
