Position Summary: The Connections Department Coordinator at James River Church is a part-time role responsible for overseeing various engagement initiatives during scheduled service times. This individual will manage key areas such as Grow Track, Dream Team Central, Connect Center, and new visitor integration at their designated campus, along with additional responsibilities as assigned.
Key ResponsibilitiesGrow Track Management:
- Coordinate the preparation, hosting, execution, and dismantling of Grow Track each week.
- Provide weekly attendance reports to the Hosting/Connections Coordinator.
- Facilitate connections between attendees and Dream Teams or Life Groups.
- Recruit and train volunteers for Grow Track as necessary.
- Maintain inventory of Grow Track materials and manage ordering processes.
- Handle food and beverage orders from vendors.
- Restock supplies at Dream Team Central, Grow Track, and Connect Center.
Dream Team Central Oversight:
- Manage the setup, hosting, execution, and dismantling of Dream Team Central weekly.
- Recruit and train volunteers for Dream Team Central as needed.
- Monitor inventory of food and supplies, coordinating orders as required.
- Handle food and beverage orders from vendors.
- Restock supplies at Dream Team Central, Grow Track, and Connect Center.
Connect Center Coordination:
- Oversee the setup and hosting of the Connect Center each week.
- Recruit and train volunteers for the Connect Center.
- Collaborate with the Hosting/Connections Coordinator regarding scheduled visits.
- Notify the Connect Center team of upcoming scheduled visits.
- Ensure the Connect Center is stocked with refreshments for guests.
- Handle food and beverage orders from vendors.
- Restock supplies at Dream Team Central, Grow Track, and Connect Center.
Visitor Data Management:
- Collect visitor information from various departments.
- Collaborate with other departments to maximize new visitor data collection.
- Send collected visitor information to the Data Management team post-service.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Support the Connections Department with events and initiatives.
- Assist in connecting individuals to Dream Teams as needed.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Essential Skills:
- Strong organizational and management capabilities.
- Familiarity with modern office practices and technology.
- Proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- Willingness to attend scheduled services unless otherwise directed.
