Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Army client by delivering system monitoring and analytical support aimed at identifying cyber incidents, along with actionable recommendations for remediation.
  • Manage and monitor all service requests related to Operational Technology (OT) systems, ensuring timely tracking and resolution.
  • Engage in OT investigations concerning significant incidents and prepare comprehensive reports.
  • Provide prompt acknowledgment of SOC service requests, including problem identification, root cause analysis, escalation, resolution, and closure, adhering to established SLAs and OLAs.
  • Escalate OT cyber incidents requiring advanced analysis and categorize OT cyber events and service requests based on priority.
  • Document and maintain incident records in line with reporting protocols and archive historical SOC data.
  • Deliver situational awareness regarding OT cybersecurity issues that affect enterprise policies and procedures.
  • Conduct monitoring and analysis of OT SIEM events to pinpoint potential security vulnerabilities and risks.
  • Triaging events and investigating to ascertain OT security incidents.
  • Oversee OT security incidents throughout their lifecycle until resolution.
  • Collaborate with remote technical teams to investigate, document, and resolve issues effectively.
  • Provide recommendations for ongoing enhancements and updates to the SIEM system.
  • Analyze input from threat intelligence sources to identify emerging threats and risks.
  • Support ad-hoc data requests and investigations as needed.
  • Conduct security and vulnerability assessments as directed, following established protocols.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher; relevant experience may substitute for educational requirements.
  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the field.
  • Proven ability to proactively respond to rapidly changing conditions in a dynamic environment.
  • DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification is required.
  • Willingness to work on-site on a daily basis.
  • Understanding of backup operations and processes related to data protection, disaster recovery, and continuity of operations.
  • Familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK Framework.
  • Strong grasp of the OSI model, network security principles, and security classification guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with the Department of Defense.
  • Certifications such as Tenable.SC Specialist, Tenable.OT Specialist, or Dragos Platform Certified User are advantageous.
  • System administration experience with IT certifications in Linux or Microsoft environments.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols, design, and administration.
  • Understanding of the Purdue model and operational technology systems.

Education Requirements: Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or other STEM disciplines, with experience serving as a substitute for formal education.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a DoD Secret Clearance, with an active clearance being highly desirable.
