Position Summary: The Certified Electrical Technician is tasked with executing a variety of responsibilities to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems in alignment with safety and operational standards. This role is pivotal in supporting the overall objectives of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using appropriate tools.
- Diagnose and rectify issues in electrical systems and components.
- Connect wiring to circuit breakers and transformers.
- Engage in both residential and commercial installation and renovation projects.
- Inspect electrical systems to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Conduct tests on electrical systems and circuits.
- Document work through detailed reports and photographs.
- Utilize company technology for communication and reporting.
Essential Functions:
- Perform diverse duties to install and maintain electrical systems.
- Respond to emergency repairs and scheduled maintenance tasks.
- Execute service repair duties across various trades.
- Read and interpret technical manuals and work orders.
- Diagnose issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance.
- Utilize various tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Report any operational anomalies to management.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Work Environment: This role involves working in various settings, including office, outdoor, and workshop environments, with exposure to dust, noise, and other environmental factors.
Physical Requirements: The position requires physical stamina, including the ability to lift heavy items and perform tasks that involve standing, walking, and climbing.
Qualifications:
- Valid Electrical Journeyman License
- High school diploma or equivalent, with completion of an apprenticeship program or relevant experience.
Preferred Experience:
- Prior experience as an Electrical Journeyman
- Experience in full-service facility maintenance
- A minimum of 3-5 years in the field
Additional Requirements: Candidates should possess a strong background in at least two of the following areas: Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, or General Maintenance. A successful background check and drug screening are mandatory.
