Job Summary:The IT Infrastructure and Support Manager will be responsible for providing system administration on TAF's enterprise solutions, including Microsoft 365, Azure, and others. This role will also involve managing tickets with service providers, such as Microsoft and hardware manufacturers, and ensuring support requests are being met in a timely manner by coordinating with regional IT staff and providers.
Key Responsibilities:- Support staff and partner service requests, documenting progress using a ticket management system.
- Provide remote support using connectivity tools and on-premises support and troubleshooting, traveling to the office when urgency is required.
- Manage tickets with service providers, such as Microsoft and hardware manufacturers.
- Deliver IT infrastructure standards in the San Francisco and Washington D.C. offices, including hardware and network security, software access, and data backup and retention.
- Assist with researching and testing new IT enterprise initiatives and upgrading existing systems.
- Report on system and user access status, including real-time alerting on potential security issues.
- Operate as needed in a global administrator role on Microsoft and other cloud systems, responsible for creating and managing user accounts, group memberships, endpoint management, and enterprise security.
- Manage services and configurations in cloud portals using knowledge of modern IT practices for software as a service (SaaS) and infrastructure as a service (IaaS).
- A thorough understanding of Windows operating systems is required, with familiarity with Mac OS also desired.
- On-premises IT infrastructure management, including networking hardware and security firewalls, business machine configuration and connectivity, security systems, and internet services.
- Endpoint procurement and deployment, hardware peripherals procurement and management, laptop configurations, including automated deployment methods.
- Hardware and software vendor management, software and services license management, purchasing and budget management, including asset controls and system refresh scheduling.
- Lead technology training efforts to staff, including software manuals, webinars, and cybersecurity awareness training sessions.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent years of experience.
- 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management and support.
- 3+ years of experience with Microsoft 365 administration and Azure management & Entra ID.
- 2+ years of experience in server administration and managing cloud services (SaaS and IaaS).
- 1+ years of project management experience, particularly in IT-related projects.
- Proven experience in hardware and software vendor management.
- Experience in ticket management systems and providing technical support to end-users.
- Familiarity with Windows and Mac OS environments.
- Experience in network security, hardware configuration, and endpoint management.
- Desire to learn and work with evolving technologies in order to keep TAF's solutions using current technologies and practices.
- Maintain thorough documentation on requirements and changes to system configuration.
- Able to work independently as well as in cross-functional team, with a high level of initiative within guidelines.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds.
