IT Infrastructure Manager

At Sierra, we're building a platform to enable every company in the world to build their own autonomous AI agents for everything from customer service to commerce. We are primarily an in-person company based in San Francisco.
We are guided by a set of values that are at the core of our actions and define our culture: Trust, Customer Obsession, Craftsmanship, Competitive Intensity, and Family. These values are the foundation of our work, and we are committed to upholding them in everything we do.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced IT professional to join our team as an IT Lead. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our IT infrastructure, ensuring the security and compliance of our systems, and providing technical support to our team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage, configure, and secure our identity management, cloud services, and other software tools.
Oversee our inventory of devices and AV assets, assist in procurement, deployment, replacement, and decommissioning of devices.
Establish and manage a help desk, providing hands-on support to Sierra team members by troubleshooting any hardware, software, or network issues in a timely manner.
Conduct comprehensive security evaluations for new vendors, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards. Collaborate with Operations and Platform Engineering teams to streamline the vendor management process and ensure secure integration of third-party solutions.
Define our IT processes and best practices, building our IT playbook and continuously improving our operations.
Plan and support IT build-outs for new offices as Sierra expands, collaborating with on-the-ground contractors to complete the build-outs.
Requirements:
7+ years of experience in IT management, service desk support, or a related field.
Technical expertise in managing network infrastructure, identity management, and security for an enterprise business. Experience working with Google Suite, AV Systems, such as Zoom, and SaaS integrations.
Ability to identify complex IT issues and effectively resolve them, with experience troubleshooting problems related to hardware, software, and network systems, performing root cause analysis to improve efficiency and prevent recurrence.
Experience building rapport with internal teams and external vendor partners, with clear verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate technical solutions with all levels of audience.
Our Values:
We build trust with our customers with our accountability, empathy, quality, and responsiveness. We build trust in AI by making it more accessible, safe, and useful. We build trust with each other by showing up for each other professionally and personally, creating an environment that enables all of us to do our best work.
We deeply understand our customers' business goals and relentlessly focus on driving outcomes, not just technical milestones. Everyone at the company knows and spends time with our customers. When our customer is having an issue, we drop everything and fix it.
We get the details right, from the words on the page to the system architecture. We have good taste. When we notice something isn't right, we take the time to fix it. We are proud of the products we produce. We continuously self-reflect to continuously self-improve.
We know we don't have the luxury of patience. We play to win. We care about our product being the best, and when it isn't, we fix it. When we fail, we talk about it openly and without blame so we succeed the next time.
We know that balance and intensity are compatible, and we model it in our actions and processes. We are the best technology company for parents. We support and respect each other and celebrate each other's personal and professional achievements.
