About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Catering Sales Manager to join our team at Best Western Plaza Hotel. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for selling catering events and servicing catered & group events after they are booked.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and build strong client relationships to drive sales and revenue growth.
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts with clients to ensure successful events.
  • Plan and coordinate all event catering and operations to meet client expectations.
  • Maintain service and regular contact with clients during the program and after the event.
  • Coordinate and supervise assigned group business after it is booked by the sales department.
  • Manage financials, including regular participation in catering budgeting and forecasting.
  • Foster relationships and market ideas to promote new and repeat business.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in a luxury hotel or a related field.
  • Proficient in Windows, Delphi, and company-approved spreadsheets and word processing experience.
  • Knowledge of F&B preparation techniques, dietary restrictions, health department rules and regulations, liquor laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of all hotel departments.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
  • Self-confident, proactive, and able to prioritize and make effective decisions.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
  • Attend all hotel required meetings, trainings, and MOD coverage as required.
