We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Catering Sales Manager to join our team at Best Western Plaza Hotel. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for selling catering events and servicing catered & group events after they are booked.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and build strong client relationships to drive sales and revenue growth.
- Negotiate and finalize contracts with clients to ensure successful events.
- Plan and coordinate all event catering and operations to meet client expectations.
- Maintain service and regular contact with clients during the program and after the event.
- Coordinate and supervise assigned group business after it is booked by the sales department.
- Manage financials, including regular participation in catering budgeting and forecasting.
- Foster relationships and market ideas to promote new and repeat business.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in a luxury hotel or a related field.
- Proficient in Windows, Delphi, and company-approved spreadsheets and word processing experience.
- Knowledge of F&B preparation techniques, dietary restrictions, health department rules and regulations, liquor laws and regulations.
- Knowledge of all hotel departments.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
- Self-confident, proactive, and able to prioritize and make effective decisions.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
- Attend all hotel required meetings, trainings, and MOD coverage as required.
