Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Air Traffic Control Supervisor to join our team at the Federal Aviation Administration. As a key member of our air traffic operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient flow of air traffic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first-line supervision to a team of air traffic controllers and coordinators
  • Ensure that air traffic instructions and restrictions are initiated in accordance with established procedures
  • Develop and implement plans to maintain a safe and expeditious flow of air traffic
  • Provide training, coaching, and guidance to subordinates
  • Facilitate team building and collaboration among team members
  • Integrate support resources with operational needs to maintain effective air traffic control service
  • Continuously review work processes to ensure that results meet the agency's mission and customer needs
Requirements
  • Must have held an FAA 2152-FV-J/FG-14 or above regional or headquarters position for at least 1 year
  • Must have been facility rated or area certified for at least 1 year at an ATS facility
  • Must have held a MSS position for at least 1 year in an ATS facility
  • Must meet the four Managerial Selection Factors
Working Conditions

This position is covered by the Department of Transportation's Drug and Alcohol Testing Program. Any applicant tentatively selected for this position will be subject to pre-employment or pre-appointment drug screening.
