Position Overview: The selected candidate will be responsible for providing tactical, strategic, and administrative assistance across various program areas, including training, quality control, quality assurance, traffic management, airspace procedures, operational automation, military operations, special and security operations, and safety management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support multiple program areas through comprehensive knowledge of the Air Traffic Control (ATC) field.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and develop innovative methods, studies, approaches, and procedures relevant to the ATC industry.
  • Communicate effectively with diverse audiences, tailoring messages to ensure clarity and understanding.
  • Collaborate with local teams to identify specialty areas that require focused support.
  • Participate in occasional travel as required by operational needs.

Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after December 31, 1959.
  • Must submit an SF50 form as part of the application process.
  • Designated or random drug testing is a requirement for this position.

Qualifications: Candidates must demonstrate specialized experience, which includes:

  1. Holding an FAA 2152-FG-14 or higher position for at least one year, either in a regional or headquarters capacity.
  2. Being facility rated or area certified for a minimum of one year at an Air Traffic Service (ATS) facility.
  3. Having held a Management Support Specialist (MSS) position for at least one year in an ATS facility.

Additional Information: This vacancy may be used to fill other similar positions. A background investigation may be required, and a one-year probationary period could be necessary. Selected candidates may need to file a financial disclosure statement within 30 days of starting the position.
