Position Summary

We are currently seeking an experienced Software Tester with over 4 years of expertise to contribute to software testing initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of the software development life cycle along with a solid grasp of development processes, including programming languages, databases, frameworks, and libraries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, modify, and implement software test cases, plans, and reports.
  • Review and comprehend software and application functionalities to effectively test specific feature capabilities.
  • Utilize knowledge of distributed systems to set up test environments and execute test plans.
  • Collaborate with the software development team to identify and resolve issues in production settings.
  • Analyze project environments, architectures, and interdependencies to apply suitable testing methodologies and cases.
  • Document test sets, record defects, and track test case execution results using the designated defect tracking and test case management systems.
  • Participate in information sessions regarding newly developed features and provide constructive feedback during document reviews.
  • Assist in the creation of scripts for automated testing of application functionalities.
  • Communicate the status of assigned tasks clearly to supervisors.
  • Complete tasks efficiently within designated time frames.
  • Work independently and collaboratively in researching data and developing analytical techniques.
  • Adhere to established testing processes and policies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in software testing.
  • Must possess DoD 8570/5239 IAT Level 2 Certification (Security + CE) prior to commencement.
  • An active DoD Secret Security Clearance is required, with the expectation to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Clearance for continued employment.
  • Selected applicants may undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information.
  • Experience in a dynamic web application development environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with various testing protocols and methods.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Proficient in developing and executing comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test reports.
  • Ability to understand complex usage concepts and evaluate an application's performance against them.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with customers and team members.
