Position Summary:
We are seeking a Staff Engineer with expertise across various engineering disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Systems) to contribute to a diverse array of projects focused on the modernization of explosive and energetic materials production facilities, munitions production, and innovative production system design. This role involves collaboration with subject matter experts in explosives and munitions, as well as federal stakeholders, to enhance research and development capabilities and support ongoing production operations. Candidates must be U.S. citizens residing within the United States and willing to work onsite.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Staff Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting research, development, testing, evaluation (RDT&E), manufacturing, and providing in-service support for energetic systems.
  • Collaborating with subject matter experts to ensure the safe and cost-effective execution of production capabilities for energetic materials and related applications.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Working under guided direction while demonstrating the ability to independently devise and implement solutions.
  • Engaging in continuous learning to enhance and maintain technical proficiency.
  • Overseeing project execution, including planning, scheduling, and procurement processes.
  • Implementing safety and quality assurance programs.
  • Managing and prioritizing multiple assignments effectively.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or a related scientific field (e.g., physics, chemistry) with 2-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven ability to deliver clear written and oral presentations, tailoring content for specific audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will have:

  • An advanced degree in engineering or a related technical field.
  • Experience in the production, handling, processing, and design of energetic materials for defense applications.
  • Knowledge of process engineering and integration.
  • Familiarity with quality requirements and system qualification.
  • An active DOD or DOE security clearance.
