Position Summary
We are looking for an exceptional Software Tester with over 4 years of experience to assist in software testing initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a solid grasp of the software development life cycle and be well-versed in various development activities, including programming languages, databases, frameworks, and libraries.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement comprehensive software test cases, plans, and reports.
- Review and comprehend software and application functionalities to effectively test specific feature capabilities.
- Utilize knowledge of distributed systems to set up test environments and execute testing protocols.
- Collaborate with the software development team to identify and resolve issues in production settings.
- Analyze project environments, architectures, and interdependencies to apply suitable testing methodologies and cases.
- Employ defect tracking and test case management systems to document test sets, log defects, and record test execution outcomes.
- Participate in information sessions related to newly developed features and provide constructive feedback during document reviews.
- Assist in the creation of scripts for automated testing of application functionalities.
- Communicate the status of assigned tasks clearly to supervisors.
- Complete tasks successfully within designated time frames.
- Work independently and collaboratively in researching data and developing analytical techniques.
- Learn and adhere to established testing processes and policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in software testing.
- Must possess DoD 8570/5239 IAT Level 2 Certification (Security + CE) prior to commencement.
- An active DoD Secret Security Clearance is required, with the expectation to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Clearance for continued employment.
- Selected applicants may undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information.
- Experience in a dynamic web application development environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with multiple testing protocols and methods.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting abilities.
- Proficient in creating and executing master test plans, test cases, and reports.
- Ability to understand complex usage concepts and evaluate an application's capacity to meet them.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with customers and team members.
