Opportunities for Educational Support Specialists

Location: Raleigh, NC

Compensation: $42.50 per hour

Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Student Caseload:
  • Resource Room: 35-40 students
  • Self-Contained Classroom: 8 or fewer students
Teaching Levels: Grades 6 through 12

Required Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of experience in special education
  • Must hold a valid NC EC License
  • Adapted Curriculum license required for Self-Contained teachers
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver tailored instruction to students with varying educational needs
  • Design and execute Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Work collaboratively with general education instructors, parents, and support personnel
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere
  • Evaluate student progress and modify teaching methods as necessary
