Job Summary

WR Systems is seeking a highly skilled Component Level Repair Technician to join our team. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electronic equipment to the component level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform fault isolation and repair of electronic equipment using automated test equipment and rack systems.
  • Manage technical teams in support of multiple projects, assigning work, tracking progress, and reporting to project managers.
  • Plan layout and assembly procedures and resolve technical problems with electronics engineers.
  • Check functioning of newly installed equipment to evaluate system performance under actual operating conditions.
  • Populate printed circuit boards with through-hole and surface mount electronic components to 2M standards.
  • Recommend changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.
  • Operate electronics-related equipment such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, regulated direct current (DC) power supplies, frequency counters, and spectrum analyzers.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Associates degree in engineering or engineering technology or similar.
  • Completion of formal resident trade school or apprentice program in electronics.
  • Completion of at least two (2) U.S. Navy 'C' schools in electronic equipment or systems.
  • Ten (10)+ years of progressive experience performing work in support of production, integration, installation, repair, troubleshooting, or maintenance of electronic systems or equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Class 'A' military training in electronics or four (4) year apprenticeship program.
  • Eight (8) years of experience in the electronics field and completion of technical school training.
