Job Title: Accounting Manager

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team at Vaco. As an Accounting Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the financial integration and reporting of mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead integrations of acquisitions into our chart of accounts and accounting system.
  • Lead improvements and optimization of Netsuite, including generating cleaner financial reports for our private equity group.
  • Drive automations across the accounting team, developing SOPs and evaluating current processes in place.
  • Lead the accounting due diligence process for mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions.
  • Analyze and document the financial implications of acquisition agreements and transaction structures.
  • Assess purchase price allocations (PPA), goodwill, and intangible assets in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Assist in the valuation of acquired assets and liabilities.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Accounting or related field, MBA preferred.
  • Extensive experience with M&A work, including integrations, purchase and acquisition accounting and/or business combinations.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to break down and explain finance and accounting concepts to individuals outside of the field.
  • Personality: able to thrive in a dynamic environment with lots of moving parts.
