Job Title: Neonatal Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Jamaica Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to newborns and their families in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend all high-risk vaginal deliveries and C-section deliveries
  • Manage the health care of all infants admitted to the NICU, CCN, and SDU
  • Assist the neonatologist in the care of sick infants
  • Monitor the progress of the infant's health
  • Monitor equipment such as ventilators and incubators
  • Prescribe medication with the agreement of the NICU physician
  • Adjust the treatment plan in collaboration with the neonatologist
  • Perform daily and sign-out rounds with the neonatal team
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner Program; M.S. in Nursing required
  • Minimum of two years in high-risk neonatal care experience required
  • EMR/EPIC Experience is a plus
  • Must be proficient in performing neonatal resuscitation
  • Possess excellent clinical skills and a commitment to patient safety
  • Proficient in the insertion of peripheral and central venous catheters, and venous/arterial blood sampling
  • Must be available to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Salary and Benefits:

$143,273.00/yr. Plus, differentials and full 1199 Union Benefits.
