Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Support Specialist to join our team at GLE Creative Talent, Inc. This role is ideal for an individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and support in a fast-paced ambulatory care setting.

Responsibilities
  • Clinical Duties:
    • Administer medications, perform venipuncture, and immunizations for adult and pediatric patients, adhering to current pharmacological principles and universal precautions.
    • Conduct primary patient care, considering the patient's age and developmental needs, ensuring quality measures are met.
    • Prepare patients for examination by taking their vital signs, recording their history, and maintaining accurate medical charts.
    • Perform waived testing and specimen collection as needed, following standard procedures and guidelines.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Review and prepare medical charts, ensuring compliance with quality measure requirements before patient visits.
    • Set up examination rooms daily, maintaining cleanliness, adequate supplies, and Joint Commission standards.
    • Screen patients without appointments and communicate relevant medical information to RN Health Administrators and Providers.
    • Respond to inquiries from patients, pharmacies, hospitals, and physicians via phone, fax, and electronic medical records.
    • Assist with scheduling patient appointments and complete administrative tasks within the electronic medical record system by the end of each business day.
  • Customer Service:
    • Provide a positive and welcoming experience for internal and external customers, exceeding their expectations to ensure high-quality service and best possible outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Education and Experience:
    • Medical Assistant: Complete a Medical Assistant program (diploma or certificate) or equivalent experience.
    • Certified Medical Assistant: Registration/certification through the AMT Certification exam or equivalent.
  • Other Qualifications:
    • Ability to work late evenings, weekends, and some holidays, as required.
    • Willingness to travel and work at various clinic locations as needed.
