We are in search of a meticulous and skilled Health Information Manager to enhance our dedicated team. This position plays a crucial role in upholding exceptional care standards while maximizing financial efficiency in accordance with the Prospective Payment System regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols.
  • Engage in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information in line with HIPAA regulations.
  • Oversee and manage workflows within the Health Information Management department.
  • Create educational resources and deliver training programs for healthcare staff.
  • Accurately code medical records following established professional standards.
  • Perform audits and coding evaluations to guarantee precision and adherence to guidelines.
  • Coordinate assessments to meet Medicare and other payer standards.
  • Examine patient data to uncover trends and opportunities for enhancing reimbursement.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and billing departments to ensure precise billing practices.

Qualifications:

  • Clinician licensed in Texas, preferably an LVN, is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • ICD-10 Coding certification is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated experience in a healthcare environment, ideally in a PPS-related capacity.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities.
  • Thorough understanding of PPS regulations and payer systems.
  • Exceptional analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
  • Dedication to delivering high-quality care and ensuring compliance with regulations.
