POSITION: PATIENT SERVICES SPECIALIST

HealthMark Group specializes in health information management and technology, dedicated to addressing the health information management needs of clinics and hospitals across the country. The company’s innovative technology combined with exceptional customer service empowers clients to optimize the release of information, document imaging, and form completion processes. By integrating expertise, technology, and service, we enable healthcare facilities to focus on their core mission: patient care.

As HealthMark Group continues to expand, we are seeking qualified candidates for the Patient Services Specialist role. This position is pivotal in managing the release of protected health information to healthcare facilities. The Patient Services Specialist will be tasked with reviewing, assessing, and processing Disability/FMLA forms, including the completion of Short Term, Long Term, and Family and Medical Leave paperwork for patients seeking short-term leave from work. The ideal candidate will possess motivation, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities, along with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Input all assigned requests into the system for further processing and documentation.
  • Address patient inquiries related to their Disability/FMLA form paperwork.
  • Comply with all HIPAA privacy and security regulations.
  • Verify patient information using key identifiers.
  • Provide attentive care to patients and their representatives.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in a medical office setting is required.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and thorough in work processes.
  • Professional demeanor with a customer-oriented approach.
  • Proficient in Windows operating systems.
  • Ability to manage tasks independently.
  • Capable of completing tasks efficiently while multitasking.
