Job Summary:

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Residential Manager to join our team. As a Residential Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating daily operations for our assigned residences, ensuring compliance with OPWDD regulations, and overseeing the daily operation and procedural routines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily operations for assigned residences, including resident inventories, residence supply inventories, food inventories, and recreation supplies.
  • Ensure proper staffing ratios and monitor benefit use and overtime in conjunction with the Residential Director.
  • Provide training to staff assigned to the house during orientation and on an annual basis.
  • Ensure that Treatment Team and treatment planning meetings are prepared for and attended by assigned residence staff, and that Treatment Team procedures are followed and implemented when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate's degree or 60+ credits required, with three years of experience in the mental health field substituting for the academic requirement.
  • Two years of progressively responsible positions in a residential setting that programs for the same population (age, diagnosis, etc.).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Flexibility, patience, energy, creativity, and a sense of humor.
  • Strong passion for working with and helping children and adults with special needs.

Physical Requirements:

  • Pre-employment physical required.
  • Significant and frequent amounts of walking, sitting, stooping, bending, and standing required.
  • Frequent planned, outside activities causing exposure to sunlight and heat.
  • Speaking and hearing ability sufficient to communicate effectively by phone or in person at normal volumes.
  • Vision adequate to read correspondence, computer screen, forms, etc.
  • Good manual dexterity.
