About the Role

The Certified Dietary Manager is a key member of our Nutrition Services team at Fir Lane Health & Rehabilitation Center, a part of the Caldera Care family. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to oversee all aspects of our Nutrition Services Department.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and standards in the Nutrition Services Department.
  • Develop and implement plans to improve sanitation, infection control, meal preparation, and dining experience.
  • Oversee the purchasing and budgeting process for the Nutrition Services Department.
  • Evaluate and direct plans to improve residents' nutritional status.
  • Assist in planning, organization, and enforcement of systems to meet facility standards.
  • Follow all facility policies and procedures.
  • Oversee all kitchen staff.
Requirements
  • Current unencumbered license to practice as a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) in the state of Washington.
  • Ability to taste and smell food to determine quality and palatability.
  • Able to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and other center staff.
  • Possesses a special interest in and a positive attitude about working with long-term care residents and the elderly population.
  • Able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Meets health requirements as required by law.
  • Demonstrates basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications.
