The Certified Dietary Manager is a key member of our Nutrition Services team at Caldera Care, responsible for ensuring compliance with all aspects of the department, including code compliance, sanitation and infection control, meal preparation and service, dining experience, purchasing systems, budgetary performance, and residents' nutritional status.
Key Responsibilities- Compliance with all aspects of the Nutrition Services Department, including code compliance, sanitation and infection control, meal preparation and service, dining experience, purchasing systems, budgetary performance, and residents' nutritional status.
- Evaluate and direct plans for improvement in each aspect, assist in planning, organization, and enforcing systems to meet facility standards and follow all facility policies and procedures.
- Oversee all kitchen staff, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for residents and staff.
- Current unencumbered license to practice as a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) in the state of Washington.
- Ability to taste and smell food in order to determine quality and palatability.
- Able to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and other center staff.
- Possess a special interest in and a positive attitude about working with long-term care residents and the elderly population.
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Meets health requirements as required by law.

Compensation for roles at Caldera Care varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to, location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by state and local law, Caldera Care provides a reasonable pay scale to include the hourly or salary range that Caldera Care expects to pay for roles they may be hired in Washington, as stated below:
Pay Range: $27-30 per hour Depending on Experience.
