About the Role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Environmental Planner to join our team in the Pacific Northwest. As an Environmental Planner, you will play a key role in supporting the execution and delivery of environmental planning projects, collaborating with a broad range of technical specialists to meet cost, schedule, safety, and quality objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of environmental planning projects, including the preparation of environmental impact statements and other technical studies.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and policies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams on environmental planning and permitting issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in environmental regulations and policies, and apply this knowledge to project delivery.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental planning, landscape architecture, environmental science, biology, or a related field.
  • 4 years of relevant experience in environmental planning and permitting, including experience with federal and state environmental regulations and policies.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in environmental planning and permitting efforts associated with the Pacific Northwest, specifically permitting by the Oregon and Washington Energy Facility Siting Councils (EFSC and EFSEC).
  • Knowledge of and experience applying the policies, standards, and regulations of County and municipal land use in Oregon and Washington.
  • Demonstrated experience in the preparation of NEPA, SEPA, and/or CEQA environmental documents.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory requirements of Sections 401 and 404 of the Clean Water Act, the Endangered Species Act, and the National Historic Preservation Act.
