Position Overview:

The Lead Cloud Solutions Architect is a pivotal IT role responsible for designing, maintaining, and advancing a robust cloud infrastructure to support application deployment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the design, planning, implementation, and enhancement of cloud infrastructure.
  • Manage the build, release, and configuration of all production systems as required.
  • Support the management of continuous integration and deployment methodologies for server-based technologies.
  • Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to create and implement scalable software services and cloud-based disaster recovery solutions.
  • Ensure optimal system security by utilizing leading cloud security solutions.
  • Research and assess new cloud solutions based on business needs.
  • Implement continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines as necessary.
  • Propose process and architectural improvements.
  • Troubleshoot systems and resolve issues across various platforms and application domains.
  • Supervise pre-production acceptance testing to guarantee the high quality of services and products.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in designing and maintaining cloud solutions.
  • Proven experience in designing and building web environments on major cloud platforms.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining cloud-native applications.
  • Strong background in Linux/Unix and Windows server administration.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools in a cloud environment, including Ansible, Docker, GitHub, Jenkins, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience in installing and configuring various application servers such as IIS, JBoss, NGINX, Tomcat, and WebLogic.
  • Knowledge of monitoring solutions like CloudWatch, Dynatrace, ELK Stack, Splunk, and other cloud monitoring tools.
  • Understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages relevant to cloud computing.
  • Experience in troubleshooting distributed systems.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Capability to train others in procedural and technical topics.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Experience:
  • Proven success in high-performance teams.
  • Experience delivering solutions in large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Prior consulting or professional services experience.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
  • Strong integrity with a focus on achieving optimal customer outcomes.
  • Understanding of Continuous Delivery (CD) concepts and applications.
