Role Summary

As a key member of the finance and accounting division, the Lead Financial Analyst is tasked with delivering financial insights and reporting to support the organization's strategic goals. This role collaborates closely with Sales and other departments to oversee customer accounts, ensuring effective revenue and cash flow management. Responsibilities include monthly profit and loss reviews, forecasting, and conducting ad-hoc analyses to assist various departments within Barcel USA. This position reports directly to the Accounting Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide financial data to the Finance Director through thorough research and analysis of accounting information, preparing comprehensive reports.
  • Compile and analyze account information to prepare entries for assets, liabilities, and capital accounts.
  • Document financial transactions by accurately entering account data.
  • Advise on financial actions by evaluating accounting options.
  • Verify financial transactions through document audits.
  • Assist with the annual audit by supplying necessary information and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Ensure accounting controls are maintained by developing and recommending policies and procedures.
  • Support accounting clerical staff by coordinating tasks and addressing queries.
  • Resolve financial discrepancies by gathering and analyzing account information.
  • Safeguard financial data by performing database backups.
  • Uphold financial security by adhering to internal controls.
  • Process payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
  • Address accounting procedure inquiries by researching and interpreting relevant policies and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with financial legal requirements at all levels by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence, and advising management on necessary actions.
  • Generate special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account data and trends.
  • Maintain customer trust and protect operations by keeping financial information confidential.
  • Review customer accounts regularly.
  • Act as a liaison among customers, sales, logistics, and other departments.
  • Manage Credit Requests to maintain healthy customer accounts.
  • Analyze customer account performance.
  • Maintain credit logs for month-end accruals and activities.
  • Develop, maintain, and report Key Performance Indicator (KPI) dashboards for each intercompany department.
  • Prepare presentations for senior management that include metrics, information, and visual data.
  • Utilize historical data to create forecasts and budgets.
  • Design budget templates for each department and coordinate the development of budgets incrementally.
  • Adjust budgets as directed by senior management.
  • Conduct physical inventory assessments.
  • Exhibit teamwork by assisting wherever needed.
Qualifications

Educational Background:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, or 2 years of relevant experience.
Experience Required:
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting is essential.
Essential Skills:
  • Proficient in Advanced Excel (including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, VBA, and Macros).
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint (with a focus on design) and Word.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Expertise in financial analysis.
  • Familiarity with GAAP and IFRS standards.
  • Experience in preparing financial reports under IFRS.
  • Proficient in follow-up and tracking.
  • Project management capabilities.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to an ERP system (Oracle Cloud).
  • Spanish language proficiency is highly desirable (50%).
  • Willingness to travel: 10% domestically and 10% internationally.
