Position Overview:

The Restaurant Accounting Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of a team comprising both onsite and offshore members, focusing on restaurant accounting functions. This role will involve supporting various accounting team members and analysts in tasks related to inventory review, research, analysis, systems integration, training, and sales accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of accounting professionals to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial data.
  • Oversee the month-end closing process to guarantee the accuracy of financial information.
  • Collaborate with IT partners to ensure the timely and accurate movement of data.
  • Ensure precise reporting of corporate restaurant sales.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of restaurant metrics to verify inventory and cost of sales accuracy.
  • Work closely with Brand Operations and Finance teams on sales, expenses, and inventory management.
  • Perform analyses to determine appropriate accounting for rebates.
  • Identify and implement process improvements related to restaurant accounting.
  • Act as a liaison for accounting matters with internal and external parties.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX regulations and manage audits.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, or six years of relevant experience in an accounting role with supervisory responsibilities is preferred.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Ability to communicate complex technical subjects effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Align team operations with company goals to ensure quality data delivery.
  • Strategic thinking and proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with JDE and MenuLink/Aloha is advantageous.
