Procurement Strategist

Piper Health & Sciences is seeking a Procurement Category Manager to drive global sourcing strategies for a leading biopharmaceutical organization in the Raleigh-Durham area. This is a hybrid role requiring on-site travel 3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute global sourcing strategies across all departments and spend categories.

Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to understand and anticipate business needs.

Communicate with stakeholders on sourcing policies, processes, and systems.

Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives, execute RFIs/RFQs/RFPs, and lead supplier qualification processes.

Perform total cost analysis of spend categories and identify areas to optimize value and savings.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or a similar role is required, preferably within the biopharma industry.

Proven RFQ experience in a cross-functional organization.

Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle is strongly preferred.

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required.

Compensation:

Salary Range: approximately $75.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
