Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Therapist Assistant to join our team at Canyon ISD. The successful candidate will provide support to our licensed speech-language pathologists in delivering high-quality speech and language therapy services to students.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with speech-language pathologists to develop and implement individualized therapy plans for students with speech and language disorders.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, including group and individual sessions, under the supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist.
  • Assist with data collection and progress monitoring to inform therapy decisions and report student progress to parents and educators.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals and objectives.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and therapy sessions.
  • Stay current with best practices in speech and language therapy and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Speech and Language Pathology or a related field.
  • Valid Assistant in Speech-Language Pathology license granted by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and educators.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in using digital tools to support therapy services.
