Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to enhance our team in the York, Pennsylvania office. This role involves collaborating with a talented group of licensed professional engineers focused on designing infrastructure systems for clients in the education, government, and healthcare sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design mechanical systems for large-scale central heating and cooling facilities, including components such as boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, extensive piping, and control systems.
  • Conduct engineering calculations including heat-mass balance, code compliance analysis, hydraulic modeling, energy assessments, and pipe stress evaluations.
  • Offer guidance and technical support to team members, fostering their professional development.
  • Independently manage design and analysis tasks for project deliverables, including drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and design documentation.
  • Coordinate design efforts and resolve design-related issues with project managers, team members, other engineering disciplines, and external consultants.
  • Engage in construction administration activities, which include attending construction meetings, reviewing shop drawings, conducting site visits, and documenting project progress.

Qualifications:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, communication, and customer service capabilities.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Possession of a Professional Engineer's license.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in engineering design and construction oversight.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit for Building Information Modeling.
  • Experience with fieldwork and documentation of existing engineering conditions.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with institutional infrastructure systems.
  • Knowledge of ASME B31.1 Power Piping Code.
