We are currently seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to enhance our York, Pennsylvania office. This role involves collaborating with a talented team of licensed professional engineers dedicated to designing infrastructure systems for sectors such as higher education, government, and healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design mechanical systems for large-scale central heating and cooling facilities, including boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, extensive piping, and control systems.
- Conduct engineering calculations, including heat-mass balance, code compliance analysis, hydraulic modeling, energy assessments, and pipe stress evaluations.
- Offer guidance, technical direction, and mentorship to fellow team members, including other mechanical engineers and designers.
- Independently manage design and analysis tasks for project submission packages, which encompass drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and design narratives.
- Coordinate design efforts and address design challenges with project managers, team members, other engineering disciplines, and external design consultants.
- Engage in construction administration activities, including attending construction meetings, reviewing shop drawings, conducting site visits, and documenting progress.
Qualifications:
Essential Qualifications:
- Proven leadership, teamwork, communication, and customer service abilities.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Possession of a Professional Engineer's license.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in engineering design and construction oversight.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit software for Building Information Modeling.
- Experience in fieldwork and documenting existing engineering conditions.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Familiarity with institutional infrastructure systems.
- Knowledge of ASME B31.1 Power Piping Code.
