Job Summary

Nordson is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Product Development Team in the Industrial Coating Systems division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical power supply circuits, components, and systems for our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop electrical circuit designs and sub-systems for new and existing products
  • Support the Product Development Team in electrical power supply circuit design, component selection, schematic capture, printed circuit board layout, and releasing product
  • Manage and communicate on deliverables, timelines, and results
  • Perform calculations and analysis required for electronic designs at the component level, circuit board, and system level
  • Work in a lab environment to build and test design concepts and engineering prototypes for performance verification
  • Troubleshoot electrical circuits and systems to the component level
  • Prepare production release documentation and support manufacturing during the first production build and test
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree
  • 10 years of related electrical power supply circuit design engineering experience
Preferred Skills and Abilities
  • Experience with industrial electrical components and power electronics (greater than 5KW)
  • Ability to apply sound electrical engineering principles and practices in the design and verification of solutions
  • Experience with electronic circuit schematic capture, circuit simulation (Spice), and PCB layout software
  • Experience with Altium PCB layout software
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical electrical engineering skills
  • Must be self-motivated and possess a strong desire to grow and contribute
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
