Job Summary

Pexip is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Operations Specialist to join our Global Finance Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading critical processes and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary contact person for Pexip Inc on all financial matters, working closely with business leaders and the global Finance team.
  • Lead critical processes for our Americas entity, Pexip, Inc., around accounting, payroll, and commissions, budgeting, and variance analysis.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with our US Tax Advisors to ensure Pexip's compliance with US Federal, State, and Local tax regulations.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Business Operations to support the collection of Accounts Receivable by sending reminders and statements to customers and providing data needed to resolve collections questions.
  • Provide guidance and support to our third-party accounting firm on accounting, cash application, invoice posting, and month-end closing.
  • Review legal contracts to evaluate business and legal impacts of contract terms.
  • Assist in the process of exercising options and RSUs and reporting of taxable benefits.
  • Create, improve, and enforce Accounting controls in the Americas.
  • Manage insurance renewals and follow up on insurance cases.
  • Primary bank contact and responsible for following up questions from the bank.
  • Identify and capture improvement opportunities to our business, within finance or elsewhere.
  • Manage the onboarding of new suppliers in accordance with Pexip's global standards and the processing of Account Payable.
  • Collaborate with the Americas Leadership Team by structuring and executing analysis to support decision making.
  • Contribute to Pexip's continued growth as a member of both the Americas Team and the Global Finance Team.
  • Collaborate with Director of HR as needed.
Requirements
  • Finance/Accounting degree.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in Finance/Accounting.
  • Strong understanding of US Federal and State tax regulations and how they apply to growing technology companies.
  • Hands-on approach and willingness to get things done.
  • Relentless focus on getting the details right.
  • Energized by the dynamic atmosphere of a rapidly growing technology company.
  • Ability to rely on experience and sound judgment to see challenges or opportunities for improvement, structure efficient solutions, and implement those solutions.
  • Comfortable balancing a variety of tasks while working independently as a part of a global team.
  • Strong analytical skills and a passion for using data to solve problems.
  • Extensive knowledge of common accounting software systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
