Role Summary:
The AWS Supply Chain Finance division is in search of a dedicated, analytical, and results-driven Senior Financial Analyst.
This position offers a chance to enhance financial governance processes for the Procurement, Finance, and Engineering departments.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be instrumental in the FP&A and Month End Close (MEC) functions within AWS Supply Chain Finance. Your role will involve:
- Managing the FP&A Month End Close (MEC) process comprehensively, ensuring variances are thoroughly investigated and communicated effectively to senior management.
- Building trust across AWS Infrastructure Finance and collaborating with partner FP&A teams to gain insights into the business.
- Identifying and addressing opportunities for proactive defect resolution. You will challenge existing methodologies and innovate to streamline FP&A processes in alignment with AWS's ambitious growth objectives.
- Executing control activities to uphold Amazon's Governance, Risks, and Compliance standards.
- Creating scalable and automated solutions for current Opex tracking methods, focusing on eliminating manual tasks.
- Conducting ad hoc analyses, transforming ambiguous data into clear insights.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, information systems, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience in process improvement through automation and analysis.
- Proven track record of identifying and executing opportunities to enhance, automate, standardize, or simplify financial or business processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Over 4 years of involvement in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance controllership with measurable outcomes.
- MBA or CPA certification.
- Familiarity with Tableau.
- Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
- More than 4 years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) in analyses.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL for data mining and business intelligence.

Our compensation reflects the labor costs across various US geographic markets. The base pay for this role ranges from $60,200/year in the lowest geographic market to $128,800/year in the highest. Pay is influenced by factors such as market location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
